McEwan Hall

My pointy finger hovers over the keyboard of my laptop but I have nothing much to say. I could talk about the weather again (disappointingly cold) or the state of the Nation (best not to go there) or the balconists (their van was here but I didn’t see any workers),  but I will tell you about how lovely it was to meet up with Lesley at 9am in Söderberg. When she worked in the university we used to see each other regularly in the mornings but now that she has changed jobs she graces another Söderberg at the West End and so our quick daily chats are no more. However we organised a special tryst today and I caught up with all her news. It felt like old times, I have missed seeing her these past months.

My pointy finger is hovering again. What else is to tell? I took this blip of the strange circular glass addition to the outside of the McEwan Hall because I was desperate and it looked interesting in a reflective sort of way. I was en route to Lidl to buy morning rolls which are half the price of anywhere else and thence on for a stravaig round by Sciennes to see what they are doing with the old Sick Kids Hospital. Seems to be another bunch of student flats predominating in the new buildings with work still going on in the iconic red main building.

There was little of interest to report thereafter, other than to tell you I did succeed with today’s sudoku. Yay!
