We have a cooler
day with a breeze kicking up
the dust of Yuma

I was up just before 6. I had thought I'd venture out to my grocery store for a loaf of fresh bread, but didn't really feel it was worth the effort just for that. Instead, I headed off to the County Road to the east of me to wait for the sunrise.

When I Google "sunrise Yuma" I always get a different time than what actually occurs. I wonder where Google takes the read on sunrise.

I pulled my car well off on to the shoulder of the road while listening to 93.1 FM. The chat was all about the Oscars which I'd missed. I must admit I haven't seen one of the movies on the nominations. When was the last time I was in a movie theatre? That would have been sometime before covid.

I love waiting for the arrival of the sun over the Gila Mountains. The light comes up so gradually, then suddenly a ray stretches over the ridge...it's glorious!

Job done, I cruised over to Dunkin' Donuts for a takeout with coffee. Sitting in my recliner with my breakfast, photos and my laptop is a great start to my day.

We've got a noticeably cooler day today with some wind to contend with. I'll be at the sewing machine making one last gift for a friend here.
