Sometimes I am pulled
in a certain direction -
I may not know why

I was a bit of a slug this morning. I was awake before 7 but didn't stir myself until long after 8. I made my essential pot of coffee before I'd decided I would get a breakfast sandwich at the Arizona Marketplace. I know I won't have too many more days to do this before departure.
I parked by the northwest entrance to walk in to the takeout window. The people there at the Farmhouse Cafe window are so friendly and obliging plus they make a great breakfast sandwich. When done, I decided to wander my way back to the car poking my nose into shops to see what was on offer.
I was really attracted to the wood products. One fellow had beautiful items he'd crafted from myrtle. The trees grow along the Pacific Coast. Washington, Oregon, California have these plus an isolated patch on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I was told that a big stand of these trees were lost to forest fire in California recently, so the products may soon become more pricey.
I found the man who carves ironwood hard at work at the back of his shop. He has a large inventory of carvings, big and small. Ironwood is a tree unique to our Sonoran Desert here. It is very dark and dense.
Then, I turned a corner to see a sign for a tarot card reader. I hadn't noticed it before. When I pulled up my camera the screen told me "memory card error" and would not take the photo. I tried several times. No luck. I had to pull out my cell phone for the photo.
I walked around to the front of the shop to see Linda, the reader, sitting at her table. We started a conversation and I sat down at her table. I asked if I could take a photo of her table but, again, my camera would not cooperate. I used my cell phone instead.
Linda gave me a tarot reading which was incredibly attuned to my life thus far. We had a rather amazing chat and I felt uplifted as I walked away.
As I headed to my car I paused for several more photos. My camera worked just fine!
I'm in for the day now. We have an air advisory. There's a bit of breeze kicking up dust making the mountains appear somewhat hazy.
*** I found this large metal sunflower as I exited the market. I stand with Ukraine. The White House meeting was thoroughly disgusting. The US is no longer the leader of the free world. AND it cannot be trusted.
