MONO MONDAY - EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY
Most of you will know by now that Mr. HCB is an avid reader and jigsaw puzzler, but you may not know that he is also a whizz at doing, not only normal Sudoku puzzles, but Samurai Sudoku puzzles, which consist of five overlapping Sudoku grids.
Reading I can understand, jigsaw puzzles don’t do anything for me but I am amazed and impressed by his expertise with the Samurai Sudoku puzzles, give me words anytime rather than numbers!
I have to say that he has been really patient (unlike me!) and has foregone his forays into the garden and greenhouse since he had the minor operation on his head a couple of weeks ago, so I do hope that it has all healed up well so that he can start working outdoors again. He is going back to see the nurse tomorrow, so not too long to wait.
Again, most of you will know that we have a system in our house - in the late Spring and summer months Cricket comes first on his list of priorities, although he said only a few weeks ago that it’s not the same since his cricket buddy, Keith, died a couple of years ago, the garden comes second and I come third! I’m happy with that and as he always tells me when October comes, “Now you’re first on my list until April!” That man is all heart!
So for Mono Monday, this picture does tell a story - of a patient and lovely man reading, and if you are interested it is a book by L.J. Ross, entitled “High Force”, with a Samurai Sudoku waiting to be done and as a nod to his jigsaw puzzling, the collage is jigsaw shaped.
Many thanks for all your kind comments - I’m glad to say that today I feel much better, so now it’s onwards and upwards. I have already been in touch with a local Salvation Army organisation that “does up” bicycles, so I am hoping that they can either donate or we can purchase one at a reasonable price for the Spanish family - it would be so good to bless them with something they really want.
