Bin Find No 432
Well, my long anticipated stressful changeover day for the tv and internet started at 7am when I couldn’t put on the news!! But we have a battery radio, so that was quickly solved.
I quickly got the internet re-connected. I plugged everything in to the correct sockets, (and was left with quite a few leftover important looking cables). But all my TV settings were haywire!! I couldn’t find live BBC!
Hazel tried to give instructions while she was chopping apples to make soup, and she kept sending screenshots of her setup, which didn’t help.
Our neighbour, Pip’s dad, was summoned round, and he tried and tried. Then he went home to check on his own setup. Then he came back and fiddled some more until we gave up. I do get everything, but I have to go a very roundabout way to find anything.
I took Archie out twice. Once across the Links to the sewing shop. Instead of buying a new duffel coat (looked at a very nice one in North Berwick) I’m going to get my trusty old one tarted up by changing the toggles, which have come apart and re-sewn several times, and I want the sleeves shortened (they were too long). £20 seems reasonable.
I have seen that terrible slanging match in the Oval Office about 100 times today!
A bag of delicious blueberry scones appeared on our front bench today! (Elizabeth) and were very much appreciated during stressful times.
