Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Watched the live coverage of Alexei Navalny's funeral in Moscow. Thousands of people came out to pay respect. Pretty brave in that country, and of course we didn't see any arrests, but they will all happen away from the cameras.

Archie and I went up to the graveyard when I'd done my chores. He LOVES the graveyard, because so many dogs visit. He runs around in a state of high excitement, sometimes grumbling to himself if he detects a dog he doesn't like, and sometimes scuffing the ground with his back legs, before rushing on to the next smelly spot.

He went out with Elizabeth later, today rather than his usual Saturday. She said that he did actually seem a bit less energetic today. And indeed, when they left her flat to come here, he stopped at her car - he didn't want to walk up the road. Elizabeth, being a big softy, went back in to get the car keys and drove him home. He didn't even get up from the fireside to see her out the door...

CT came over for a G&T, but then declared that she wasn't drinking alcohol, so she just had a T... and enthused over the baked Camembert that JR produced.
