The sun got ahead
of me this morning -- I will 
have to do better!

I rolled out after 7 with the sun pouring into the house. I see a brisk wind  stirring the flags around the neighbourhood. I heard the garbage truck working its way down the street. 

I completed the last two blocks yesterday. I took them out to the backyard for photos. I suppose I could start putting the whole quilt together now, but it may wait until I'm home again. No deadlines for this quilt. 

I took a look around my yard with hopes to find some birds. While sewing yesterday I was sure I'd heard a mockingbird singing. Today I see one on the next street but it's not singing and not coming closer. I fear the magic of the purple pajamas may have faded. 

The lantana in my yard is the most prolific plant that seems to thrive on neglect. Its pink and yellow blooms are many and always appeal. 

I'm off on errands this morning, but the rest of my day will be at home.
