Hummingbird 3.0

When will it end? Beginning to feel swamped at work. So many things to do, so little time to do it. I refuse to increase my working hours as I already only have a 30 min break all day pretty much. The new undergrad is a drain on my resources, but if trained well will be a useful asset for the future.

The hummingbirds are guzzling the nectar. This bottle has only lasted 2 weeks. Plenty of visitors now they know the location.

Our friends left today, they went downtown this morning to have a look around and then we met them once they got their rental car as I was dropping the wife off downtown as she flies off to Utah and Oregon this week. Had a great weekend with them and sad to see them leave.

Came back to find the dog had demolished the kitchen bin again. She had been walked multiple times all day and only left for 2 hours this evening. Definitely acting up and taking the Michael. Stern words were given. But not sure they stuck.

I have a conference at the Salk institute wed-sat. We will see how much I attend (definitely not wasting my entire sat in lectures). So what with that and the new student I've cut back on the experiments I was planning on doing this week. Roll on the weekend.
