The nighbour
Day 8
We woke up early to this view, had a good breakfast of pastries, fruit and tea and set off. We soon passed through lemmer and headed down the old coast which took us past the new land that was reclaimed in the 50s from the sea. By now the sun was really shining and we powered on through the warmth.
After a lucky stop at a great deli, we ate a wholesome lunch of fine cheese and ham baguettes and continued in the sun.
At 5ish we entered the large town Zwolle and headed for the centre. It was a Sunday and shops were shut, as was the tourist office. Without knowing where out next meal and campsite could be found, I approached a family and asked for directions to the nearest supermarket. They said there was only two open at that time and they were a bit hard to find but kindly offered to take us there since they were cycling back that way. We stocked up on food and then the Dad went out of his way to help us even more and cycled us to the nearest campsite.
There we pitched up away from the camper vans and had a lazy evening walking to see some calves, cooking some yummy tortellini and reading.
