Armchairs and snowdrops
Bit on the damp side this morning when I took MrsM to the station - she's off to see her family in Glasgow. Thought I'd treat myself to breakfast at the upgraded café at Tesco's - it's all push button ordering now and it seems to work well enough.
By the time I'd finished I decided to pop into the local furniture shop and have another go at finding an armchair that suited me. My old Ikea chair has done for probably thirty years or more, but doesn't really like me any more! I sat in three different chairs for 15 minutes each and think I've come to a conclusion! My Blip today is in the shop - none of these chairs were the one!
By this time the sun was beginning to show, so I thought I'd drive up the coast for a bit and look for some good photographs. I eventually found myself approaching Taynuilt so drove down to the lochside to visit a friend who has a nursery there. Had a wander round and a good chat and he let me dig up a clump of snowdrops. I also met another friend who was doing some bird-ringing there - my extra today.
Returned home in the rain and then worked out in the sun and wind splitting and potting the snowdrops to grow on to plant out in a while. All kinds of weather today! I also took a load of cuttings from my Begonia hatacoa (yesterday's Blip) and put them in water - the easiest way to root them.
Quote of the Day: 'Snowdrops. They represent hope. The first flowers in the spring. Hope for a new beginning.' - Elizabeth Boyle.
