Life's Little Moments

A Simpler Life

Having dropped Jax off at day care, Hubs and I headed southwest towards Lancaster, PA, in the heart of Amish country.  We were headed to a well known furniture store there that sells solid wood tables and other furniture, all handcrafted locally.  It was a beautiful day for a drive and it took us through some beautiful farmlands along the way.  Our mission was a success and we found the perfect table and chairs for our breakfast nook to replace the table we gave to my SIL recently.

I shot this through the car window so please don't look too closely.  At least I used a proper camera.  In Extra is another through-the-window shot of one of the horse buggies we passed on the highway.  I think that the Amish must live a simpler life although I'd not call it easy by any means.  Seeing all the clothes hanging on clotheslines in this frigid weather made me appreciate our electric dryer.  Along with so many other things...

And on a funny side not, this furniture store is located near two towns - one named Intercourse and the other named Blue Ball.  Nope, I'm not kidding.
