La Paz, Bolivia
Another country! This morning in La Paz we had breakfast at the hotel and then even though our tour was over, Cynthia took us on a walking tour of the town. We saw the witches market, the San Francisco church, the main square and the San Pedro prison. This was the main square, which was full of pigeons!
Because it´s almost independence day there are lots of marches and parades, and the streets were really busy. After the tour we went shopping for a while for silver and leather, and then met up for a thai lunch. I had chicken katsu and miso soup, and it was ok. After lunch Cynthia helped me to plan the rest of my trip and even gave me her copy of South America on a Shoestring! She is the best guide ever. Dinner was at a Mexican place, but my food was not spicy at all so I was sad. After dinner a few of us got a taxi to the Wild Rover bar, and I moved to the Wild Rover hostel as it was cheaper than the hotel we were in after the tour. We had a few drinks but I got an early night in anticipation of tomorrow...
