Coach ferry

Today we left the hotel at 6.20am to catch the bus to La Paz. We got to the bus station really early, then found that the bus was delayed for an hour and a half! Finally we got on it and around an hour later got off at the Bolivian border to change countries. One of the girls from our trip had lost her immigration form so was charged 20 soles, but the man behind the desk charged her 20 dollars. Our tour leader Cynthia got angry and went and got it back for her!

Back on the bus we went to Copacabana and had to get the ferry over to the next peninsula, then drive another few hours to La Paz. All in all the journey took 10 hours or so, yuck. Once we got to the hotel we went out for dinner and had delicious food - I had tandoori chicken. At the end of the meal Cynthia made a speech and presented a cake! We were all sad that the tour is over and felt like it had been short. We went for drinks at a bar, but came home quite early.
