Spots and Curls

17.3C and fairly dull with occasional light showers in the afternoon.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. Duller than it has been for some time. Spots of rain now and again.

Down on the beach we pottered along between the lines of drying seaweed lying on the sand. I found this little piece of ceramic as we walked.

We went up to the Fishermen's huts. No one was around. I managed to have a look at 'Shamara II'. It looks like they have opened out as much of the internal structure as they can to dry out all the cabling and mechanical parts. The outboard is still in place with a secondary outboard clamped to the stern and plastic barrels filled with water have been placed underneath with the propellers submerged. The only damage noticeable is to the board in front of where the skipper would steer the boat. Possibly damaged when the capsized boat grounded as the tide went out after it was towed back to Westhaven.
