A Sign of Things to Come?
I had my annual mammogram this morning; always a fun experience - not! Someone must believe the impending snow predictions. On the way home, I noticed all of our roads have been thoroughly treated in preparation for a storm. As long as everyone is safe, a little snow always seems to bring me joy. But my heart aches for those families torn apart by the recent floods in our southern states. Hubby filled up our wood box just in case we lose power. We can keep warm by the fireplace. They have moved our snow date to Thursday and expected amounts differ greatly depending on the source. I am glad it was moved by one day because I have a dental appointment tomorrow. By mid March, I will have been tested from head to toe, inside and out. Guess I should be thankful our medical system works so hard to keep us healthy. And I am. My sister and BIL stopped by to drop off food and a set of hubby’s keys that we left in WV. Miss Sugar was at the spa. I miss being with her. After lunch, we went to Kim’s school to meet Brooklyn’s bus and take her home. Kim works late on Tuesdays and Brook has basketball practice; she needs to be home to get ready. We enjoy helping whenever we can. I am making roast beef for dinner. Beef stew (with the leftovers) will be a great comfort food when it is cold and snowy. We are all caught up on today’s jobs; it’s Blip journals and Kindle time. Wishing you a quiet evening. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. Brooklyn asked me to share her appreciation for your kind comments. “Know that just one moment of joy is a sign of better things to come!” - Abraham-Hicks
