Anil.... and RMKV
I treated myself to a shopping spree this afternoon. Raja took me to RMKV, the nearest thing to Jenner's there is here. It's a beautifully fitted out store over three floors with white marble floors. It's one of the places to go to for wedding outfits and special occasion sarees. I've never ventured into the silk saree section, they cost thousands of pounds. My blip shows two highly decorated outfits in the ready made section, beautifully beaded and full of sparkle. The fans and fluorescent tube lighting here mean that any sort of sparkle or even tinsel and sequins twinkle and burst into life. You can see why dresses are made as they are. Which reminds me, the men of the close family of baby Rianna on Saturday were all wearing dark richly coloured velvet jackets, with silvery thread through them, they looked like they'd been sprinkled with sparkles, Fabulous.
The next picture is of a display of fancy handbags, again sparkling away like mad under the lights.
The fountain is outside the front door. To show its exclusivity, the shop has a garden area to space it from the main road. It also has a parking area round the back and rows of seats just inside the front door to park your man in until it's time for him to pay!
The final picture today is of an ANIL, the Tamil for squirrel, or at least squirrel is how they translate it. I think that must date back to the British living here and naming things after what they linked them with from their UK experience. It looks more like a chipmunk to me. They are notoriously difficult to photograph, I think the fact that I am on the first floor made this a little easier. It's in the neem tree.
Thanks for the sympathy for my feet yesterday. Prem helpfully told me I should wear socks even in bed then my feet would be safe......I can't imagine that, I can't even wear socks in bed at home! In any case I don't think it happened in bed I think it happened in their sitting room when the ladies were round the other night and the door with its mosquito net was left open! Thank goodness I've got plenty of anti itch cream.
Thanks for all the comments and stars folks, they are much appreciated.
