Lucy's garden
Lucy is someone I met through Norwich Pride and who regularly posts some absolutely stunning photos of her garden. It turns out that she lives about 5 minutes away from me and I was delighted to be invited round to see her garden.
It's not huge, but it is a riot of colurs, textures, cleverly placed mirrors and secret little corners. The garden was designed in such a way that it can be seen in all its glory from her kitchen window.
I took several photos, colour and black and white, but there's something about this one that I love. I don't know why but I just do.
After I'd finished poking around, snapping away, we sat down to a lovely simple lunch and a natter.
A really nice way to spend a summer Sunday lunchtime and I came away feeling a little more reflective, a little more balanced as over the past few days I've found myself going apeshit about things that I have absolutely no control over.
I'm going to try having a 'media break' for a week. Not a total break, but no checking Facebook, no reading the newspapers and only listening to Classic FM on the radio.
I'll still post to Blip and check people's journals though.
