Gimbal

Years and years ago I got the bright idea to make a video of my mom’s friend who ran for office in rural Montana not only as a Democrat but as a woman. I know, insane! And she won! Part of the process was me practicing making little videos and that included learning how to do it on a cell phone and that including buying a gimbal, a cool device that lets you move around and film w/o lots of bouncing in your footage.

Today I gave a virtual tour to the cousin of friends who have supported me every day I put the project together. I FINALLY found the gimbal. I hadn’t touched it for years but did finally find it and no one got seasick from my walking them around on my cell phone. 

It was such a delight. I have played docent for people in person but this was with my friends, the nice church woman there to take care of guests, and the cousin. I led them through and answered questions for two hours. We veered into the policies of the overlords but didn’t let it end on that note. 

The day was gorgeous. It got warm! The skies were blue, the sun shone! I was going to take a lovely walk …. Except for the wind storm. The wind storm got so serious that the neighborhood is without power. 

Nope! We have power again! Hooray!!

Funny not funny? Overlords fired all the probationary employees. Apparently they fired all of them, everywhere, without caring where they were, including people who manage the country’s nuclear weapons. Then when they realized they FIRED the people who manage our NUCLEAR WEAPONS they tried to rehire them. But they can’t FIND THEM. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4g3nrx1dq5o

Ukraine has many men fighting, and thus has more women digging for coal, something they could not do before the invasion. Many women would like to continue.
