Hen Pheasant ( Phasianus colchicus )

Not a brilliant photo but I only took two today, both of our resident female Pheasant.  THis little female seems to spend all her time in the garden.  I know it is the same bird as she is much darker in colour than your usual run of the mill hen pheasant.  She seems to find plenty of food, either spillage from the feeders or natural food around the garden.  If disturbed she retires to the Holly bush.

THe rest of the day after those two "just in case "shots was spent at the Lodge continuing with the work of putting everything back where it should be.  In many ways the hardest part is deciding where things need to "live" with the new layout.
