An ordinary life....

For my Valentine...

That's Alan BTW :-))

I always send Alan a Valentine from a Secret Admirer and he's always very chuffed.  This year I completely forgot to buy one for him (the date has kind of passed me by!)  so nothing else for it but to make him one before he got up!  Thankfully he was just as chuffed as he usually is despite my amateurish effort.

Lauren arrived at 11am to remove my gel nail polish.  No polish allowed
when having surgery.  She cut my nails short and gave me a lovely manicure but it's so weird to see my naked nails as she's been giving me a regular gel polish since the first one she did for Andrew and Nikki's wedding last July.  Thankfully, thanks to the lovely nail oil she gives me that I use regularly,, my nails are in great condition.  She will be one of the first people I call I once I am recovered enough.  A lovely manicure and polish is definitely something to look forward to :-)

In a nod to Valentine's Day, D heated up cooked a lovely dinner.  King prawns with chilli, garlic and paprika and harissa butter with sourdough, chicken breast with mushroom, truffle and sherry centre wrapped in apple wood smoked bacon, smashed potatoes with a warm basil drizzle and broccoli vegetable bake.  Profiteroles for dessert but we're too full for those.

This isn't just a Valentine's meal, this is an M&S dine in for two lazy b*stards meal ;-))

Now arguing over trying to decide which film to watch.  Romance isn't dead :-))

P.S. Just seen a clip of The Apprentice and heard a male contestant say "it's a corporate strategy task that fits well into my locker..."

And that folks, is one of the many reasons why I would rather dip my fingers in vinegar and poke my own eyes out, than watch that crap!    :-)))
