Sunrise
It's been a lovely day. Little Man had nursery, as normal. I've been giving him the choice to go in the pushchair, with me walking, to nursery or go by bike. He chose to go by pushchair. We woke up to a cold but clear morning. It was -3⁰C (26.6⁰ F) when I came downstairs, I didn't have any wood for the stove (a friend from church has organised a delivery tomorrow) so I wasn't fussed. I put the diesel heater on and the small electric one on in the kitchen. So it was a decent temperature when I got Little Man up.
When I got home, I popped out to take some photos of the sunrise and of the birds (first extra photo). I had some friends, Arie and Marianne, come round for coffee. When Arie realised I didn't have any wood he popped out to some friends who live down the road. He came back with enough wood to get me through the day. I was so grateful!
I collected Little Man from nursery and we had a lovely afternoon together at home. We just hung out and relaxed after a busy week. We have a quiet weekend ahead of us. I'm looking forwards to having my alarm go off later than it normally does during the week. I'm not a morning person and often find it hard to get out of bed.
Yesterday, I realised that I'd left my hair dryer in England when I left. It's taken me almost a year and a half to realise that I don't remember seeing it since I left England because I don't tend to use it. However, over the last few weeks, whenever I've washed my hair, I've noticed how uncomfortable it is having wet hair when the temperatures have been low. So I ordered a decent one on Amazon (see the third extra photo). It arrived this evening and I'm looking forward to trying it out.
