Lightning

An non day, if the truth be told.  I had a good sleep, obviously needed it and didn't wake up till almost 7.30.  Later it transpired the girls were with 2yi today and even later that that had translated to dinner involving WH so I haven't seen them today.  I kind of compete with 2yi for time with the girls and she is only here temporarily too, back to London on Sunday after CNY.

It was a bit grey looking outside and I was still lacking in energy so I spent most of the day faffing, sorting out some finances, paying a tax bill, spending an inordinate amount of time on currency for Bali and generally time wasting.

Lunch was a tuna sandwich and later when I had to get out I went for a swim and lay in the sun for a short while till it clouded over. It was hot again today.  Then, a bit more dynamic, returned the slow cooker to HK and found a hungry #1 son.  Wiyh everyone out we went to dinner at B-Lab.  I had a disappointing fish 'n chips (B-Lan used to be so much better) and had steak which was reported as being good, all washed down by a lot of Carlsberg.

It was busy when we got there, a whole gaggle of expat teachers from Gardens.  I got them to move us to beside the pop up red roses stall.  It was interesting seeing you was buying and what.  I'd have loved to have blipped the young Malay couple and the bouquet he bought her but they were too fare away when they had their photo taken.

Came home with lightening flashing across the sky, an electrical storm no thunder to discover that yesteray was the last day of Quiz Lady on i-player and I fell asleep 30 minutes to the end last night.  I'll have to see it on Disney+ at HK.  Watched 'Love Again' instead.  An odd picture filmed partly in London at the start of Covid with an obviously Brit cast with US accents: Celia Imrie, Russell Tovey and Sam Heughan laying an Englishman and Celine Dion starring as herself.  Well, it passed the evening.
