Nasi. Lemak

Mmm, a kind of non day.  In the morning I sorted out another place to stay in Ubud having decided the original choice was too far out.  I filled all the paperwork for Indonesia, 3 forms and a visa.  I remebered, luckily, that Indonesia does not use UK type plugs so my adapter will be needed and I did some basic tidying before the owners arrived.  the lights are fixed but unfortunately the microwave does not fit.

I'd continued the Kerala photobook so that was the project for most of the day,  Outside it was overcast and inside very humid.  I was going to go to the pool about 3 but the thunder started.

Wen Xin had requested nasi lemak for the last meal before she goes back to London tomorrow so we walked (in the rain) to the place that specialises in Malaysia's national dish, Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu, open 24 hours and much more expensive than the mamak.   Bit of a faff ordering but it was good and I also had mango sticky rice,  4yi's boyfriend was there and bought the meal but we were not formally introduced.  It was very noisy so difficult to have a conversation and after an hour the Foos stood up and that was it - off home.  As we got near GK we passed the GK day shift guards going off duty and they all said 'hello' to me. Gives you a kind of warm feeling.

By the time I got back my sandal were soggy, tripping into a gutter hadn't helped.  I'd finished Kerala and started Bali before I went out.  Now both are finished and ordered with the 50% Valentine's discount.  2 down, how many more to do.
