down time
A different sort of a day today. I spent much of this afternoon having a really good tidy up. It's amazing how chaotic life can get when it's suitcase based, however things are a bit better organised now.
I'm going to spend a couple of days with my friends Ida and Prem who live not very far away. They are very near to the local bus stand - if I ever felt brave enough to catch one of the town buses. They're lethal. All independently owned and completely rule the road. The firms are all in competition with each other when it comes to collecting fares so they race between stops.
My blip today is of the terrace where my room is at the deaf centre. The church and admin buildings are in the ground floor, this floor has the pastor's house and the two guest rooms - of which the one I'm in is the nicer. The terrace is above the church and Annie, the current pastor's wife has made really good use of it. She also keeps it very clean. You can see too that they are using old rice plastic sacks as plant pots to great effect.
In the background, to the right you can see the illuminated red cross, on top of the nearby church steeple, churches are always easy to spot here.
The tree is just outside the grounds, and has huge mangoes on it, sadly not yet ripe. I'm having dinner with Prem and Ida this evening so a treat in store. She's a very good cook .
