Margret’s bid for freedom
I’ve had a good day.
Mid morning I went to see Jenny and Dennis. They were on good form. Jenny’s mobility is poorer but she is still walking with her Zimmer. She wanted to hear all about the Namibian holiday. Dennis had a newspaper but went to sleep quite quickly.
Then I went to see Margret. The physio wants to try her with this rollator next Tuesday. I retrieved it from her garage. For fun, I had her stand holding it, with the brakes on! She hopes it will give her more freedom of movement.
There was time this afternoon to have a walk in Acomb Woods. It rained on and off, but there was also watery sunshine and lots of snowdrops. It’s too early for the yellow Star of Bethlehem, but I looked, just in case.
I had half an hour in which to do a quick shop at Tesco and then find a parking place near The Forum. The coffee in the bar was very welcome and I settled down to watch Conclave.
I have to agree that it was brilliant and had my attention throughout. The screen play is excellent. I would have “liked” to be able to smell the scent too. I have my suspicions about a large number of cardinals together!
Julie was not in touch. I’ve phoned and she may not be home until Monday. She is still confused about the cause of her problems, telling me today that it is definitely not low sodium but selenium! Hopefully her brain will recover soon.
