During this cold damp half term many local children have been out looking for 18 brick dinosaurs on a trail around Dalkeith. Each dinosaur has a poster describing it and the number of bricks and hours spent on making the model. Of the 12 that I have seen the blue and gold Stegosaurus probably took the longest to make with 4 builders taking 360 hours using 182,157 bricks. There is even a very fierce looking T-Rex skull with sharp teeth and a baby Stegosaurus although my favourite is the triceratops. I try not to take children in photos which was not easy as there were many around but have included one of the Iguanodon taken last Saturday. It seems to have also been popular with parents ensuring their children were getting out into the fresh air.
