Pan roeddwn i'n ifanc cefais i fy nweud bod peintio graffiti oedd fandaliaeth. Credais i hi ar y pryd. Nawr rydw i'n meddwl gwahanol.

Rydw i'n meddwl bod y rhan fwyaf o fandaliaeth wedi gwneud gan 'cyrff y llywodraeth' gyda'r gyfraith a chaniatâd cynllunio. Doedd e ddim 'fandaliaid' oedd dinistrio'r gymuned, bariau coffi, siopau a llyfrgell, ac yn gorfodi'r bobl y cerdded trwy'r twneli, roedd y llywodraeth (neu'r cyngor) sy'n adeiladu'r gyfnewidfa. Y 'fandaliaid' sy'n codi naws yr ardal yr ardal gyda'u gwaith celf ar y waliau. Dydw i ddim yn hoffi cerdded trwy'r twneli, ond rydw i'n mwynhau gweld beth sydd wedi'i beintio yno.

When I was young I was told that painting graffiti was vandalism. I believed it  at the time. Now I think differently.

I think most vandalism is done by 'government bodies' with the law and planning permission. It wasn't 'vandals' who destroyed the community, coffee bars, shops and a library, and forced the people to walk through the tunnels, it was the government (or the council) who built the interchange. It is the 'vandals' who raise the tone of the area with their artwork on the walls. I don't like walking through the tunnels, but I do enjoy seeing what's painted there.
