Found Cat

Not good photos but this cat is very nervous and it was difficult to get close. One of the two pics was taken yesterday in the sun but the other was taken in today’s bleak cold weather. I think this cat is female and quite young. She’s been hanging around for a while and I think she’s spending nights in my greenhouse. I’ve put her on Facebook for two days running to try and find her owner but haven’t succeeded so far. She’s been eating the food I put out for the hedgehogs. (Tesco Kitten Biscuits).

My kidney ‘end stage 5’ condition has been showing more results online from hospital tests. The hospital doc was emphatic that I must discontinue taking Metformin immediately. I’ve been reading medical stuff online and it’s clear that Metformin causes kidney injury and should not be given to patients with kidney issues. Metformin has been given to diabetics as the first and main medication for YEARS. I have been on the maximum dose of it for 20 years. But since Metformin was first used for diabetics, many more effective medications have been introduced. My blood tests as long ago as last August showed my kidneys were not in a good state. Even though I queried the results back then I was told not to worry and things would probably not get worse. I was NOT TOLD that Metformin could be damaging my kidneys. WHY DIDN'T MY GP STOP MY METFORMIN AFTER THE TEST RESULTS LAST AUGUST?

Meanwhile, with Metformin stopped, I need some alternative medication to control my glucose levels. So I’ve asked for an appointment with my diabetic nurse. There isn’t one available for TWO WEEKS!! With no alternative medication while I wait. I despair of the NHS.
