Sun Seekers

My cats are good at finding the sun. The cat further back on the windowsill is Pickle, an eight year old rescue. The closer one is Minnie Minx, another rescue cat, and she really is naughty! She’s only 18 months old.

After my hospital visits I’m now waiting for further local blood tests which will hopefully lead to some effective treatment. The Renal doc at the hospital had told me to stop using Metformin immediately. It’s a ‘staple’ drug for diabetes. I’ve been taking it for years. But I’ve been reading about it and it’s not recommended for people with kidney problems! My blood tests last August showed some kidney problems - so why was nothing done about stopping metformin then????

When Metformin was first used for diabetic patients it was extremely effective at reducing blood glucose levels. But today there are SO MANY new medications for diabetes, that Metformin SHOULD no longer be needed.
