Sally Mair - Loving life

There to here

I slept well last night and finished packing this morning. I even managed to fit in a swim in the sea as it was beautifully calm.
I was just on my way out to change some money when the receptionist told me that my car had arrived, almost an hour early. When I got back I settled up and then loaded up the car to head East. It's only around 170 km, but takes 3.5 hours of driving on all sorts of standards of road from new four lane toll roads to not quite two lanes wide twisty roads through villages!
The drive went smoothly though and we stopped just other half way and I had some chicken noodles for lunch, very tasty but I got lots of bits stuck in my teeth which I hate!
We got here around 3. 30 and I unpacked and got organised.
Raja came about 6.30 and picked me up in his auto to do some essential shopping and take me to get my dinner - chicken 65 and parotta - delicious.

The collage shows a cat and her three tiny kittens who seem to be living in the roof next to my room. They're very timid but gorgeous.
A picture of my room, In the arrangement I like it in. The blue flowery sheets are no more, Blethers. It sounds like I may be moving tomorrow which is a nuisance, having got all organised I can't really see how I can get out of it though.
The outcrop of rock is very typical of South India. There are lots of them around and many are Hindu Holy Places with a temple at the top. If it that is the case they are often painted with red and white vertical stripes .
