Kovalam day 4
My last full day here today as tomorrow I hear into Tamil Nadu. Annoyingly and rather as anticipated I didn't sleep well last night so was very groggy when I got up, just in time to grab a very small breakfast before it was cleared away.
I spent the morning at the pool as I'll miss it once I leave. Next job was to start sorting out the case so that I don't have to waste the morning on it tomorrow. I should be able to get most things back in! When I go home I'll have plenty of space as I've lots of presents with me .
Lunch today was a snack, chicken 65, the 65 being reference to the combination of spices used . It's one of my favourites.
The collage today shows one of the back lanes, the main front walkway is all very smart and tourist focussed, but once you wander off things are less salubrious, perfectly safe, but some rather unpleasant puddles and you wouldn't want to step off the path. The shops here are more for locals and Indian tourists and much more sensibly priced.!
The president is apparently doing a review of the fleet just up the coast tomorrow which explains the rather incongruous sight of a naval vessel which has been hanging around just beyond the headland for the last couple of days. It may be INS Deepak according to Google. Hopefully it's not going to make all the roads full of bigwigs tomorrow

The person with the crates on their head is just one of the local workers, they carry all sorts on their heads, I just failed to get a good shot of a man delivering flat trays of eggs, I think they were about 15 trays high supported with one hand. You can just see him going into the distance in the lanes shot previously mentioned . You wouldn't like to bump into him on a corner!
The last picture is my dinner! Kashmir pulao, it had so much fruit in it, apples, oranges, pineapple, mango, cherries, raisins, sultanas, grapes, cashews plus, beans, carrots, onions I'm sure there were more. All freshly cooked and quite delicious. Cost me just over £2.
