Meet Buddy
I started the day by mounting my six prints for tomorrow night's photo group. I might show them to you after the presentation is over. A few of us are all showing Portraits tomorrow night.
Then I made celery soup and a savoury mince casserole.
Julie is not coming until tomorrow, so I was glad that I had not cancelled my ticket for the National Theatre's Macbeth, on at the Forum Cinema. It's the second showing and was sold out again, David Tennant and Cush Jumbo being the main attractions.
I have mixed feelings about the production. It was certainly high octane and very tense, but I felt that the pace was too fast. Sometimes in classical music performances, the conductor decides to take the fast movement faster than anyone has done before. It can work, or you can lose something.
They managed with almost no set.
It was worth seeing.
My friend Sandy was sitting two from me and invited me for a drink afterwards. Geoff, her husband, appeared with Buddy who had been in their care all day.
Before his owners arrived, we were joined by Angela and Suzanne from Ipswich. They have been visiting Maureen all weekend. We all had a drink together.
They are very special friends of Maureen's. We shared our concerns. They had been told that the staff can't help Maureen to eat........grr!
The good news is that they had her out in her wheelchair and went to The Beaumont for scones and coffee. It's just what she needs.
I have now posted all my blips from Namibia. You can access them by starting here and working your way to 30th. Some of you will have seen the earlier ones, but not the later ones. I hope you enjoy them.
