Light in the gloom
Another cold, wet day. I drove to Corbridge to visit Stobo and son, the excellent greengrocers. We were low on fruit and I particularly wanted some decent Jaffa oranges.
I was delighted to find a nearby parking spot and the shop did not disappoint.
In search of a blip, i popped into the parish church. It was dimly lit and freezing inside. One of the curates was showing a couple around. I almost did not recognise her because she was so well wrapped up against the cold.
I did not linger but photographed the four lit candles.
There has been no opportunity to walk and we have kept warm in my lounge.
