Typical Day
A typical Sunday for Little Man and myself, with the exception of the early start. Little Man decided that it was a good idea to wake up at around 4 o'clock. We had a long cuddle whilst I dozed.
We got up and got ourselves ready for church. We got a lift to and from church with friends, Jeanine and her family. Her kids are very curious and her older daughter asked loads of questions about why I'm living in the Netherlands with Little Man, but with his dad. I had to think fast and keep my answers rated "Universal U". It made me laugh. We had a lovely time at church.
We came home, and had a quiet afternoon. I tried to see if Little Man would hace a sleep but no such luck. I also put dinner in the slow cooker shortly after we got back and left it on high. I've written before about how amazing slow cookers are. Often I don't have the energy to cook in the evenings, and I need to make sure that the food is on the table quickly. Little Man often wants food and doesn't want to wait for me to cook. Distraction doesn't always work. So it's easier and faster to put food on in the morning and then just cook the carbs before we sit down. Little Man is a good eater.
Despite the long day, and the early start for Little Man, I kept him up until after 7 pm. He's gone down without a fuss. It's given me a chance to relax a bit and check off a few things on my list of daily goals (like posting my Blip on the day and writing in my journal).
