Baking with left-overs
My whole day so far has focused on catering. I have been to the market and two supermarkets, the former for research and the latter for supplies.
I have made pea and ham soup, a cake, some pastries, and a gnocchi bake. The decision to bake was motivated by left-overs. The chocolate and hazelnut warbat (on the left) used up seven sheets of filo pastry that were left in the pack after I made a Thai fish pie on Wednesday. The coconut cake (on the right) used up half a tin of coconut milk, the other half of which also went into the fish pie.
Paddy, Caitlin, and Atlanta are coming over for supper and games this evening. I hope that they will enjoy my creations.
Exercise today: walking (11,452 steps).
