Razzle dazzle
A scorcher,! I think it was up to 28c today and wall to wall sunshine. The day started early with the youngest member of the sleepover up bright and early after her late night. After an early morning Skype with Will ( he perishing with 4c in Bristol) we had a sort of relaxed breakfast then stopped off at Pohara beach for an early swim and bit of extensive Sandcastle making before heading back to Joe's. We were in charge for the day as he had to finish his van commission. We've coped and have been chilling, collecting fairies, picking plums and avos, playing dominoes, drawing, shooing wekas out of the conservatory (it's after the cat food) and listening to audio books - as well of plenty of real reading. Himself rustled up a delicious frittata for supper and we are still on duty as Joe has gone off to play badminton. Esme had a massive bubbly bath. I was allowed to brush her hair and only two attempts at going to sleep were involved. I finally had to sing : for some reason I came up with Greensleeves. That's not my usual night song she said before conking out. . I'm ready to conk out myself.
