Between the Branches

It is always a challenge to photograph the birds hoping amongst the branches on Auntie's Tree.  There is a great deal of luck involved.  This Woodie (red bellied woodpecker) didn't make it easy.  It reminded me of the old saying, "I'd rather be dead than red on the head".  Not true at all.  He is a beauty.  My little friend came for Valentine making, we had great fun.  (extra) It reminded me of how I loved the week before the holiday when our art teacher at Broad Street School came so we could make a special Valentine to take home.  Some things never change.  And what also isn't changing is our weather pattern with a "significant" storm coming tonight into tomorrow.  A possibility of 8-12 inches this time.  UGH!!!
