When I read my emails this morning I discovered I am now a great uncle. How nice. My neice expressed her regret that her father never lived to see his granddaughter, but I assured her that he is surely watching and that he is delighted.

I caught today's blip between the snow showers. It's cold, so I didn't venture far. I'm hoping to watch E.T.  tonight with V; she said she wants to watch it after I bought it last weekend. A great father-daughter bonding experience; we will either cry together or she will wipe my tears for me.

UPDATE
I've just added an extra because the snow has just started to lay. A hike to the top of Mount Rokko is now looking like must-do tomorrow morning. We don't get much snow here so I like to make the most of it when we get it.
