The gas works have moved up the road and are now causing chaos at the other end. On Wednesday there was a massive hole just behind me and all the roads off the junction were blocked. If you're not local and don't know the back streets you've got no chance at the moment. And as for getting the bin lorry down, lets not even go there.

I had some lovely news from an old  friend (and lapsed Blipper) yesterday, Her and her partner moved away late last year and bought their first house together, a huge project they've already done loads on. They went to see his parents (in Uganda, which is irrelevant but makes the story sound more romantic to me) just before Christmas and got engaged while they were out there. It really made me smile, they're such a lovely couple and I'm glad she's happy after a not very nice few years (before she met her now fiance).
