My Snuggle Buddy
We arrived safely around 5:00 pm. The road was just as bad as my sister described. But the problem area was much longer than she mentioned. We slipped and slid all the way to their driveway. There must have been other traffic that made it even worse after my sister was on it. They were getting ready to take a walk when we arrived. We all unloaded our car, they took off and hubby and I put everything away. We had BBQ I brought from home and super salad for dinner I was shortsighted with my breakfast bread choice. My sister is not supposed to eat butter or other fatty food. I am sure I can find a better recipe for next time and use avocado oil. I made chicken salad for lunch. Our BIL was invited to an event with one of his WV buddies. He left before dawn. Our temps have been in the low 30°F all day. We could get as much as 5” of snow later this week. The forecast for home is for sleet and ice. Nasty winter weather. Hubby worked off line on his computer most of the day and then pulled out his puzzle books. My sister is beading the hangers for her newly acquired antique Christmas ornaments. As you can see, Sugar and I had some quality Kindle time. Love that sweet pup. Sure miss the snuggles we used to get from Millie and Blanche. Maybe I should invite Sugar over to visit more often. We were unable to get a hot spot system from the library. That may make getting on line for any length of time near impossible. I will try to catch up with your journals as soon as possible. Life on the farm in the cold damp winter is pretty quiet. Wishing you an equally quiet evening. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “My little dog—a heartbeat at my feet." - Edith Wharton
