There's no such thing....
Nice to have a leisurely get up this morning, think it's the first time in ages I've had nothing at all on. I kept today completely free just in case!
We took a pile of stuff to various charity shops, I tried to take things to the places which deal best with them so went to Shelter with clothes and beads and a huge bag of musical instruments I'd built up other years of teaching and church music workshops. St Columba's Hospice got the buttons and hand made lace and the Barnardo's children's store in Dunfermline got the children's clothes toys and equipment. I've managed to part with my grandmother's and my great aunt's button boxes - well actually I lie, I kept the tins, I'll put them as an extra and you'll see why. I also failed to part with my great aunt's 100% wool swimming costume from the 1920's. Back in the cupboard it goes.
We had lunch in Orocco Pier, I am only going to have something light for dinner as I'll be in a taxi at 4. 30am tomorrow and don't want a heavy meal the night before.
We enjoyed sitting, looking at the reflections, the sun on the water and the little tender boats buzzing around under the bridge.
Back home I weighed my luggage for the 100th time, it's very close to the line. I've lots of weight allowance left in my hand luggage though so I can always decant if need be. It's not RyanAir so hopefully they'll be kind.
I get to Doha around 3 and then land in India at around 9pm (UK time). It's actually around 2.30am India time, so I'll be heading straight to bed. I think everything is organised and it's too late now if it's not. Hopefully the driver with a board with my name on will be there.
Today's blip is a pair of Gruffalo slippers for Josie. Ali says she's seen a picture of them and loves them, they can send me a picture when she tries them on.
It'll likely take me a couple of days to catch up with blip, and I'll need to adjust to the 5.5 hour time difference, so bear with me! I'll try to post from Doha.
See you on the other side, lol.
