Lazarus!
Ok so it's not Candlemas but scripture at this time of year gives the life of Jesus quite a shake up and chronological order goes out of the window a bit, so Lazarus may well have featured! I found this plant as a shrivelled wreck upstairs a couple of months ago, hidden from the cat wot ate all my plants but who is very sadly missed. I added water and look what happened. Sadly I'm going to miss the best of it while I'm away, but it looks pretty good.
Monday today so time to get my nails done, it keeps them nice and strong while I'm away and I don't chew my fingers nearly so much when they are looking pretty. Much better that I don't when I'm India from a purely hygiene point of view let alone appearance and discomfort! I think it's my stress release, I don't bite my nails, but when I get dry skin it's open season for fingers! I now have a sparkly, pinky-purple colour on my fingers and rich glittery red on my toes. Feet are very visible when you are in open sandals and chappals 24 hours a day so I like to decorate my toes to distract from the rest of the feet.
When I got back home our friend from St Andrews popped in for lunch - he was here to pick up his bag which he left on Sunday after they'd stayed over for the concert. Talking of the concert I was amused to see that we featured in a picture on the Fairport Convention Facebook page today. They'd taken some pictures from the stage. (Extra)
I spent the afternoon repairing a dress of Eilidh's and checking in online. Good to go as they say. Tuesday is deliberately left empty for a nice lunch and last minute checks. I've got loads of hand luggage weight to spare so may rearrange things a bit, who knows.
We went out to Bridge this evening, play went well and we came out to which was a nice way to leave things before heading off.
It was strange to go into bridge at 6. 30 with the temperature decidedly cold. I'd expected a frost by the time we came out, but no, at 9.45 it was 2 degrees warmer and felt much warmer, the wind direction must have changed I think.
One more day.
