Mitch rides up to save the day

What was turning into an abysmal day was saved by an invite from my good friend Mitch to go for lunch. And so, at 11:45am, car horn beeping in a single, salutary rebuke to our neighbours, he called round and drove me to Beijing Legend. There, we ate good food, had meaningful conversations, and even managed a lunchtime Tsingtao beer. So much for staying on the wagon.
 
The rest of the afternoon was spent in a fight with my laptop. It is still winning. I am still unhappy.
