Time Stand Still

The pendulum on our kitchen clock has been progressively swinging less fully over the past couple of weeks and finally stopped this morning. No complicated resetting of cogs and gears required, just a new AA battery. I took the opportunity to give everything a good clean when I took it down then fitted a new battery and hung it back on the wall. Pendulum now swinging away with renewed vigour.
As am I, so to speak. Felt a lot better this morning and went into town with Mrs C for a coffee and a bit of shopping. Very pleasant wandering around in the sunshine - definitely feel we’re over “hump day” now.
Out to rehearsal this evening - hopefully complete blocking the final scene so we can concentrate on the lines from next week.
I’m going to give the gym a miss until after the weekend. I might be feeling better, but don’t think I’m ready to start flinging weights around just yet…
