The Uig Bay Chessmen
I had a lovely, meandering morning in Steòrnabhagh looking at Harris Tweed. The uses of this well known fabric are various, including decoration for adrum kit. Genius.
We spent the afternoon meandering around the west coast of Lewis, up around Uig Bay and Bernera. The scenery is breathtaking and the beaches are lined with such white sand and light green seas. I've put a few other shots over here, including one of a Berserker - see if you can find him!
Today's blip was a gentleman we stumbled across, like not-so-buried treasure.
Off to the Uists tomorrow. Thank you Lewis and Harris for a lovely sojourn.
