It was the dance of
the hummingbird that caught my 
attention today

The sun was up before me today. I'm definitely falling down on my Protestant work ethic this week. 

I took myself out the backdoor to see if turquoise pajamas were as attractive to the birds as my purple ones. I sat on my chair by the door and scanned the yard for visitors. It didn't take long. 

I could hear a hummingbird zipping in and out of my bedraggled orange tree. It seemed to be acting very territorial. It was putting the run on certain birds when they landed in the orange tree. It didn't seem to mind the sparrows. I wondered if there was a nest in the tree. 

I caught the sparrows in various poses and managed to catch a view of the hummingbird with its back to me. Can you see it sitting below the sparrow in the portrait shot? 

I'm thinking I might just remain in these pajamas as I have nowhere that I need to be today. Let it be a quiet one, please.
