Gatehouse
Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . for a sunset
We're already very fond of the little village of Gatehouse-of-Fleet, where we find ourselves for the next few days until our power supply returns at home. So you might say that we feel as if we are unexpectedly - on holiday!
The Clock Tower (in extras) is a very striking and well-known building in the centre. Apparently, it was built of granite blocks in 1871, at a cost of about £300 which was raised by the people of the burgh and surrounding district.
And at the end of the afternoon, there was a beautiful sunset over the village as the sun went down . . . . . . .
