Storm could be passing
Finally.
The first day of the football season and the opening game to mark the 125th year of the Football League saw Notts County (the oldest professional club in the world) take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane (the oldest professional ground in the world).
There have been a few changes at United over the summer, most notable the hiring of David Weir as manager, his first time in the role. Well if what we saw tonight is anything to go by, the stormy times of recent years may be looking brighter. They played like a completely new team and it left me with a feeling that I've not experienced for a good few years at the Lane. They dominated play from start to finish and were passing/moving like Brazil! OK, a slight exaggeration, but I am giddy :)
So good to have high spirits at the start of the season, such a contrast to a few months back. Same place, different emotions.
Thank you so much for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's Blip - it meant a lot you wonderful people.
