La prof

Our art teacher came to give a lesson today. It was the first time I have painted since before Christmas so I continued with the canvas I started in December and I have now nearly finished it. Aline does not give formal lessons but gives hints and tips as we proceed and makes suggestions on everything we bring along that we have completed at home. She is a very talented artist herself and exhibits widely in the department. It was a pleasant afternoon, especially as one of our number had bought some stollen for when we had the tea break. In the morning I had been up to the Mairie to introduce the vicar to Monsieur le Maire and we discussed ways that the church community could become more involved with the charitable associations of the village. Otherwise, I am still chief cook and bottle washer as Mrs. TT is still not feeling great. She has been able to get out of bed and do a little today but soon gets tired.
