Calalan balcony

I have never really decided whether I like these Catalan balconies. They are very typical of the region and service no useful purpose other than safety and being decorative as far as I can see. We had a council meeting after church which took two hours as there was a lot to discuss. The new vicar would like to increase the profile of the church community within the village including getting involved in various charitable projects. This is something we have been trying to do for some while so it is good that he will give it increased impetus. Tomorrow I am taking him to meet the Maire so we will see how that goes.
